EMILY DICKINSON´S POEMS
I have made this collage notebook during a period of quarantine, in which we have barely been able to leave the house, due to Covid 19, the world pandemic we are living through. We have faced the stillness, the isolation, seeing life through a window, we have faced stopping the frenetic pace of life that we normally have. An external situation has forced us to do so. So I took a book of poems by Emily Dickinson that I had read before and started reading it again, understanding in a different way the decision she made. I think it's interesting to read her poems if you do it from confinement, although it's not comparable to living three months of imposed quarantine, with a choice of your own not to step on the street again.
He realizado este cuaderno de collages en un periodo de cuarentena, en el que apenas hemos podido salir de casa, debido al Covid 19, la pandemia mundial que estamos viviendo. Nos hemos enfrentado a la quietud, al aislamiento, al ver la vida a través de una ventana, nos hemos enfrentado a parar el ritmo frenético de vida que normalmente tenemos. Una situación externa nos ha obligado a hacerlo. Entonces cogí un libro de poemas de Emily Dickinson que ya había leído anteriormente y me puse a leerlo, entendiendo de distinta manera, la decisión que tomó ella en su momento. Creo que es interesante leer sus poemas si lo haces desde el encierro, aunque no sea comparable el vivir tres meses de cuarentena impuesta, con una elección propia de no volver a pisar la calle.
