RCR Arquitectes, taller creativo de arquitectura nacido el año 1987 en Olot de la mano de Rafael Aranda, Carme Pigem y Ramon Vilalta, ha visto reconocida su trayectoria con distinciones nacionales e internacionales. Desde 2008 tienen su sede en el Espacio Barberí, una antigua fundición artística. En 2008 se lanza desde RCR Arquitectes y RCR Lab·A el primer workshop internacional de verano hasta la creación de un formato semilla en su quinta edición en 2012. Desde 2013 la gestión pasa a RCR Lab·A en coorganización con RCR Bunka Fundació Privada.

El Workshop de Verano nace de una manera de entender la arquitectura y el paisaje desde un espíritu humanista. La coexistencia en un espacio y un tiempo concreto de diferentes disciplinas creativas genera sinergias para el enriquecimiento mutuo.

La creatividad debe estar en el origen del concepto, presente en el momento inicial donde damos respuesta a la pregunta que nos formulan, y debe ser compartida por todos los participantes, siendo el hilo conductor de todo el proceso. Todo es fruto de la creatividad.

Con la escenografía se crean espacios efímeros que debido a su corta vida deben expresar, sin concesiones a la duda, una intención, una idea. El espacio expresa, en definitiva, una manera de entender una historia humana.

RCR Arquitectes, a creative architectural studio founded in 1987 in Olot by Rafael Aranda, Carme Pigem and Ramon Vilalta, has been recognised with national and international awards. Since 2008 they have had their headquarters in the Espacio Barberí, a former artistic foundry. In 2008 RCR Arquitectes and RCR Lab-A launched the first international summer workshop until the creation of a seed format in its fifth edition in 2012. Since 2013, the management has passed to RCR Lab-A in co-organisation with RCR Bunka Fundació Privada.

 

The Summer Workshop was born from a way of understanding architecture and landscape from a humanist spirit. The coexistence in a specific space and time of different creative disciplines generates synergies for mutual enrichment.

 

Creativity must be at the origin of the concept, present at the initial moment when we give an answer to the question we are asked, and must be shared by all the participants, being the guiding thread of the whole process. Everything is the fruit of creativity.

 

With the scenography, ephemeral spaces are created which, due to their short life, must express, without concessions to doubt, an intention, an idea. The space expresses, in short, a way of understanding a human story.
